Simply put-this is a blog about the city girl I used to be-the country girl I am now-and the things that are important to me. This is about the journey of life from the tiny to enormous and joyous bits in between. Here we are learning the hard way about gardening, homesteading, canning, solar-living, wood-cookstoving, animal husbandry and wearing out a lot of flip-flops along the way.

We have two beautiful border collie pups up for adoption right now. Check out petfinder.com with zip 76905 and look for Coco & Chanel. They look a whole lot like Sam & Olivia.
I love my BC - Sam will celebrate one year with us as of August 22 and Olivia is a Beagle/Mix who found us in March as a 4 week old abandoned pup.
I love my dogs.
CJ has really grown into his own and boy am I glad I didn't re-home him. He's our boy.
You have always been a farm girl at heart. You have loved horses since I knew you in 2nd grade! :) You are now where your heart has always been. So happy for you.
