Simply put-this is a blog about the city girl I used to be-the country girl I am now-and the things that are important to me. This is about the journey of life from the tiny to enormous and joyous bits in between. Here we are learning the hard way about gardening, homesteading, canning, solar-living, wood-cookstoving, animal husbandry and wearing out a lot of flip-flops along the way.

For No Apparent Reason
and, for your non-apparent (to me, anyway) enjoyment, a few photographs that catch my fancy:
I've come to the conclusion that I'm missing summer a wee bit. The 21st of December isn't even here yet. Oh dear!

Your farm looks so beautiful! Your photographs make it seem so warm and peaceful. Yes, I miss summer too. It is cold in Kentucky!

Thank you J! We love it here. It is where I feel the most at home - even though I was born/raised in SoCal.
I want to come live on your farm!!!!
